The Press-Enterprise Names Nelson Senior VP Advertising & Interactive Development
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Kenneth J. Nelson has been named senior vice president of advertising and interactive development at The Press-Enterprise. He will continue to lead the company's sales organization and assume responsibility for the company's online audience and revenue growth for PE.com and other online and multi-media initiatives.
"Ken has been instrumental in driving our sales initiatives and stabilizing our revenue stream in this severe economic downturn. He will bring a focused leadership and sense of urgency to our online initiatives that will expand the revenue growth of Press-Enterprise Company's online and multi-media product portfolio. We are excited to have him in this new role," said Ron Redfern, president and CEO of Press-Enterprise Company and publisher of The Press-Enterprise.
Nelson joined The Press-Enterprise in 2007 as vice-president of advertising. Previously he served as vice-president of advertising at The Ventura County Star; prior to that he held several advertising management positions at The Orange County Register.
Nelson has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from California State University Fullerton, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Chapman University.
